			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Attendees of the <a href="http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/library/lisa/index.html" target=new>LISA V conference</a> will have the great opportunity to attend a special viewing of two exhibits on Tuesday, June 20th from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the <a href="http://www.fas.harvard.edu/%7Ehsdept/chsi/" target=new>Putnam Gallery located in the Harvard University Science Center</a>.</p>
<ul>
<li><cite>&#8220;Time, Life, &#038; Matter: Science in Cambridge&#8221; traces the development of scientific activity at Harvard, and explores how science was promoted or affected by religion, politics, philosophy, art, and commerce in the last 400 years.</cite></li>
<li>&#8220;Benjamin Franklin: A How-To Guide&#8221; commemorates the 300th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin. Featuring scientific instruments, rare books, letters, and natural history specimens&#8211;many owned or used by Franklin&#8211;this exhibition examines science and sociability, exploring how science was part of a social context that prized human interaction and collaboration.</cite></li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>More information has come forth about the <a href="http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/library/lisa/index.html" target=new>LISA V &#8211; <em>Library and Information Services in Astronomy: Common Challenges, Uncommon Solutions</em> conference</a>.</p>
<p>The meeting will be held at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, which is minutes away from the historic city of Boston. Proceedings will be published electronically. Early Bird registration (before March 15, 2006) is US $250 (single day: US $100).</p>
