SLA-FAN: call for papers
The Food Agriculture and Nutrition Division of SLA invites submissions for its session at the 2007 SLA Annual Conference to be held in Denver. The session will take place on Tuesday, June 5, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The theme of the contributed papers session is Increasing access to Agriculture, Food and Life Sciences Information. Papers should discuss original research, innovative projects, or other professional activities of interest relevant to the theme. You do not need to be a member of FAN or SLA to submit. Presentations will be 25 minutes long including a 5 minutes question period.
The deadline for submissions is September 18, 2006. Proposals must include author’s name, affiliation, full contact information, presentation title and 300-500 words abstract. As the first USF librarian at the Lakeland campus (now Polytechnic), I opened the USF Polytechnic Library in January 2007 and have developed its various services.
I've held positions as information broker, Internet consultant and academic librarian in Canada, the US and Europe.
A blogger since 2001, I've created and maintained several sites in, and outside, of the biblioblogosphere.
I'm active in SLA, and currently serve as on the boards of the Academic Division and the Florida-Caribbean Chapter.
