Volunteer opportunity: ACRL-STS rep to IFLA

Tomorrow is the deadline to submit your candidacy to become the ACRL-STS representative to IFLA. The four-year term will begin in August 2007 but the reps are named now. Criteria include:
- Be an ACRL member
- be a a member of and active in an ACRL divisional or sectional committee concerned with the area being represented
- satisfy IFLA requirements for nomination
- have knowledge of at least one working language of IFLA
- have reasonable expectation of attending meetings of the standing committee without cost to IFLA, ALA or ACRL

As the first USF librarian at the Lakeland campus (now Polytechnic), I opened the USF Polytechnic Library in January 2007 and have developed its various services.
I've held positions as information broker, Internet consultant and academic librarian in Canada, the US and Europe.
A blogger since 2001, I've created and maintained several sites in, and outside, of the biblioblogosphere.
I'm active in SLA, and currently serve as on the boards of the Academic Division and the Florida-Caribbean Chapter.
