METRO Science Librarians SIG meeting

The next METRO Science Librarians SIG meeting will be held Tuesday June 6, 2006 1:30-4:30 PM at the METRO Headquarters, 57 East 11th Street, 4th Floor, in New York City.
Speakers:
- Helen Ann Brown of the Weill Cornell Medical Library will demonstrate Medline searching using PubMed, Ovid, and Knowledge Finder.
- Robert Olley of the Bronx Zoo Library will give a talk titled “Gnu at the Zoo: Gathering and Disseminating Information in Zoology and Conservation Biology.”

As the first USF librarian at the Lakeland campus (now Polytechnic), I opened the USF Polytechnic Library in January 2007 and have developed its various services.
I've held positions as information broker, Internet consultant and academic librarian in Canada, the US and Europe.
A blogger since 2001, I've created and maintained several sites in, and outside, of the biblioblogosphere.
I'm active in SLA, and currently serve as on the boards of the Academic Division and the Florida-Caribbean Chapter.
