CSA efforts to help Katrina victims

Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA) is taking several measures to help users displaced by Katrina. Among them:
- make CSA databases accessible to displaced users directly for up to 6 months through a registration process on the CSA website
- extend affected customer subscriptions for up to 6 months to cover the period of time where their services would be affected
- work with ALA to create a fund used to help rebuild the affected library infrastructure
- as well as making monetary and items contributions.

As the first USF librarian at the Lakeland campus (now Polytechnic), I opened the USF Polytechnic Library in January 2007 and have developed its various services.
I've held positions as information broker, Internet consultant and academic librarian in Canada, the US and Europe.
